BEASTS & BOULDERS TROPHY

The Beasts and Boulders Trophy is back! The 2022 edition will take place the 8th of October in KlimKaffee Herentals, with various session formats and phenomenal prizes! Come and release your inner beast or enjoy a drink and bite while cheering (y)our climbers on.

JUNIOR BEAST SESSION

One important addition to the original BEAST and BOULDERS TROPHY is the JUNIOR BEAST SESSION: a climbing session between 9:30 and 11:30 o’clock for our youngest competitors. Children aged 10+ can compete against each other and themselves in two age categories: category 1 with children aged 10 to 12 and category 2 with youngsters aged 13 to 15. We will of course provide tailormade routes. For €25 you can register and get the most exclusive Beasts and Boulders Trophy shirt and a chance to win some great prizes (for the top 3).

BEAST SESSIONS

Our BEAST SESSIONS are designed for recreational climbers. The first session starts at 12:30 o’clock, the second at 15:00 o’clock. Each session lasts two hours. We will follow the same format as during Beats and Boulders: 40 routes and the well-known 1000-point system. Our team of route setters, led by Marco Jubes, will provide routes from 5th grade to late 7th or maybe early 8th grade. Hopefully, this gives everyone the opportunity to try their best at accessible (and more challenging) competition routes.

The winners of the different BEAST SESSIONS (two men and two women) will compete after the qualifications of the masters for a wildcard in the final of the Master session. At 20 o’clock, three tests will be organised to determine who will get the wildcard and a chance to win that nice prize money. For €30 you can register for this unique experience and chance to win the wildcard, and get a limited edition Beasts and Boulders Trophy shirt on top.

REGISTER FOR THE ADULT BEAST SERIES

MASTER SESSION

Experienced climbers, who aren’t afraid to tackle routes with a 7+ grade, can join our MASTER SESSION. Our route setters will go above and beyond to surprise the participants with the most challenging routes. This session takes place between 17:30 and 19:30 o’clock, and immediately serves as a qualifying round for the finals. The €30 entry fee assures you of a place in the Master session, and a limited edition Beasts and Boulders Trophy shirt.

FINAL

The top five of the qualification plus the wildcards from the Beast sessions will climb their final at 21:00 o’clock. The whopping €5000 prize money will be divided between the top three of the ladies and men’s final: €1250 for the first place, €750 for the second and €500 for the third. More details will follow soon.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Apart from the sporting activities, we will of course provide delicious food and energising beats during the competition. After the final and the stage, a small party will be organised – in line with our KlimKaffee style, this might evolve into a big party. Keep an eye on the Beasts and Boulders event on Facebook for the line-up. Because of the large organisation we are obliged to charge a democratic entrance fee of €5 for every spectator.
